Saab: Fuel Pump Problems, fuse box, buick century
QuestionI am a sophomore in high school, and i go to a vocational school to work on cars for half the day. In auto shop, there is a 2002 buick century that when we pushed it in the headlight and bumper fell off. I have made it my project to fix it up and get it running. I have replaced the battery, charged it, replaced most of the fuses, (when i opened the fuse box up it looked like someone was playing mix and match with the fuses), and i still cannot get it to start, or the radio to work. The radio isn't receiving power at all and I'm not sure what to do about that, I cant get the dashboard off. Do you know how? And about not starting, we're pretty sure there is something wrong with the fuel pump. It will crank and then just keep cranking like it wants to start but can't. There is no fuel pressure. What should i do?
AnswerColin:
I am sorry, but my experience is limited to SAABS as noted so I cannot really help you with details relating to the Buick.
But to get the fuel pump running, you can run +12 VOLTS to it directly from the battery using long wires as a test only.
