Saab: my saab just dies, saab 900, process of elimination

Question
when driving my 1996 saab 900 just dies. there will be no electric anywhere, and car won't start. have  car towed and when it gets where its going it will all of a sudden start and all electrical is back.

  It sounds like a bad connection in the area of the battery/alternator/fusebox/ignition. It will simply take a logical process of elimination, unfortunately made more difficult due to thew intermittent nature of thew problem. I wish I could be of greater help, but with the info given, that is the best I can  do.
