Saab: 1991 Saab 9000 Turbo, cv axles, cv axle

CV Axles were installed in my 1991 Saab 9000 Turbo. The passenger side CV Axle is fine--the driver side keeps coming out. I have changed the drivers side trans/eng mount-everything else fires up and runs well. What's the problem?

 As my profile notes, my personal experience is limited to the 900 & 99 models. So I cannot give you a specific answer.
 Also, you did not say from which side the half-axle comes out, the transmission side or the wheel side. On 900's the transmission side has recessed "tulip cups" that are firmly bolted in. On the wheel side a springy clip holds the end of the shaft into the CV joint. Could this clip be missing (if in fact the 9000 has a similar design?)
