Saab: 96 Saab 9000, saab 9000cs, saab 9000s
QuestionI notice your expertise suggests classic 1980's Saab 900s and not 96 Saab 9000s, but I hoped that perhaps you could help me. I have been told that my Saab 9000CS needs to have the oil pan removed and sludge cleaned out to improve oil pressure. I am having trouble with this dianosis because I have faithfully changed the oil and filter every 6K since I have owned the car (the last 4 years and 100,000 miles), but that being said, my real question is:
Does it really take 8 to 12 hours just to drop the oil pan on this car?
Thanks for any help.

AnswerI am very unfamilier with the 9000. Because your car is 94'or later, you have GM motor in it. I would suggest that you call mile high saab in Denver (http://www.milehibodyshop.com/) - they have some chemical treatments that will make removing the pan unnecessary.
