Toyota: 1991 4X4 Toyota with 2.4 Eng. manual tran., 4x4 toyota, knowledgable users

Question
The gear shifter will become disengaged at random times in all gears, but keep in mind I do a lot of in town driving. This is a well maintained truck and I would like to keep it that way.

Well, I don't know exactly what could be the issue here but I'll take a stab and say "synchromesh" even though it'll probably prove to be something else.

What can you do?  Go to http://www.toyotanation.com/ and ask on that forum.  If anyone can help, it's those Toyota gearheads on that site.  That's the place I turn to myself.  Filled with knowledgable users that are more than happy to help if they can.
