2005 Toyota Corolla - do you have to keep a quarter tank cool the fuel pump?

There is no need to keep a quarter tank or more of fuel in your 2005 Toyota Corolla or any modern fuel injected car. It is an old "myth" from older carbureted cars. However, it never hurt to keep a full tank of fuel if not to avoid getting stranded with no fuel.
