Volkswagen: 71 Ghia w/ auto stick, autostick, ghia

I have a '71 ghia with an autostick, I am looking at installing a 40mm single weber and am wondering if this will effect the vacumm system for the autostick?

 The rate of the vacuum signal for the Auto-stick is not critical, as with a distributor advance curve.  The shift trigger is actually electrical (in the shifter) and the control valve is adjustable.  Switching to the a Weber should work fine.
