hard to get in first gear then it jumps out all the rest seem fine

Hi Lee,

The only thing you can do is to adjust the shift linkage according to the Bentley book. (the procedure is detailed, and you will need to consult the book for the correct process).

However, I hate to say, the most common cause of 'gear popping' is that the transmission needs a rebuild.  The average cost to do so is about $500-800 USD. That is if you install it yourself.
