Volkswagen: 98 Jetta Bose Radio failure, radio code, power accessories

My battery failed and I removed it to replace the following morning. Since the reinstall, my factory Bose radio has no power,it won't turn on. I checked all the fuses and they all work and so do all my other power accessories.What do you think it is? I also don't have the code as I bought this car used and the radio manual is missing. I do know how to program it,but I don't know how to get the code. Thank you in advance for your help.  Ted

Ted,... I think these model radios have fuses on the back side of the radios... If you turn the radio on... does it say "safe" or have " 1000 " on the screen?  Lastly,... to get the radio code, you must remove the radio and take the serial # off of it and head to your dealer.
