Volkswagen: VW Fuel Injection Conversion, fuel injection conversion, fuel injection system

I have a kit car using a 1971 VW 1600 cc engine. It now uses a Solex carb. Can I buy an aftermarket kit to convert it to fuel injection?

If so, do you know where they are available?

My best recommendation is to use a 1975 or later VW beetle fuel injection system.

Usually, you can find the entire set-up in a junk-yard or on www.thesamba.com.

I did this to a 1971 Transporter engine, and it works great.

I would suggest buying new injectors, and all of the other parts are very durable, and should give you little problems.
