Thanks for the diagnosis.  My next problem is my $60 service manual that doesn't identify where the relays are.

I found two connetors plugged into what appeared to be two relays mounted under the coolant expansion tank and cleaned them, but the problems remain.  Do you have a reference to identify and locate the relays in the engine compartment?  Thanks.

Looking at the engine from the front, it should be in the right hand corner near the firewall and brake master cylinder/servo.  It should have a black snap-off cover.

It is about 6 X 4 inches.
