Volvo: tps, throttle positioning sensor, diagnostic equipment

Bought front end wrecked 2000 v70xc  throttle positioning sensor code on no spark. What do I need to repair? Throttle sensor on engine and or on pedal? Is engine part specific to vin # and do I need anything else to get running? Thanks

It sounds like you will need the throttle housing assembly. That part will require a software download. See the dealer for help in/on that procedure and the costs and time needed. They have the computer system and can buy the download from the manufacture. All of the downloads will require the use of the Volvo VIDA diagnostic equipment.
