Volvo: thin black tube, fuel vapors, charcoal canister

I ran over a speed bump yesterday and noticed when i got home a thin long black plastic tube hanging in the frot end of the car from right to left, it smells like gas;what could it be

The various model cars that Volvo makes have large number of hoses and lines that run under the car. You will need the help of a Volvo repair shop or dealer to look and trace the lines. It could be a plastic line that directs the fuel vapors from the tank to the charcoal canister.
