Volvo: 1998 S70 turbo fan noise, radiator fan, turbo fan

sounds like a radiator fan is running for about 1-2 min. when I first start car in am.  Also I here it running periodically when I come to a stop, and then it will shut off.  Ac is not on and car is not running hot.  What could noise be?

There is a fan relay top of the radiator has three connectors. Are there any fault codes in the system? If the temp sender or t/stat are just off a bit the engine control unit will turn on the fan. You could try the t/stat first and then the relay.
