Your removal tips seem pretty easy, but for this total novice do you have a diagram of the parts and detailed removal steps. The car is stuck in the garage and we need to do a removal, no way for a tow truck to pull vehicle out.

Unfortunately the manuals all consider the person reading it to be an automotive tech with basic skills. That being the case there is not a written procedure describing where to reach and the exact bolts to remove and or any other possible things to more to obtain access. All the manual states is unbolt and remove the starter, start by disconnecting the battery. Towing companies have been known to get cars in the tightest areas, in case you want to give them a try.
