Volvo: test stand engines, timing belt tensioner, volvo engines

are there any factory test stand engines available to purchase?  we have a 98 v70 xc,   that experienced timing belt tensioner failure, unexpectedly resulting in the engine sieze up..    it was changed before  regular intervals as specifed by a certified volvo mechanic... does volvo sell any kind of test stand engine?  or do I have another option to keep the car?

You can get engines from the dealer, they are remanufactured. You have the option of pulling the head to see the damage, getting the valves replaced or purchase a reman head through the dealer. There are also some engine rebuildes that might have Volvo engines. Try Jasper Engines.
