Volvo: 1995 volvo 2.4 , interference or non interference, interference engine, tensioner pulley
Questionmy timinig belt broke on my 95 850, i was at a red light and pressed the petal to go, but the car did not move. can i replace the belt and tentioner and go on thru life? or did i bend valves?
AnswerCourtney,
You have bent valves. That is an interference engine, making it REALLY necessary to replace the timing belt on time. I always replace the t/belt, tensioner, tensioner pulley, idler pulley and water pump. Any of those fail it will cause belt failure.
