Volvo: Radio HU-655, manual mode, radio news

Recently installed Hu-655 in my volvo 2004 S40.  The AM does not allow in manual mode to scroll for every frequency and instead jumps to various odd frequencies.  For instance radio news 88 comes in on 882 and radio news 1010 comes in on 1008.  Is this defective and/or how do I adjust the radio?  Thank you.

Some radios have a switch on them to adjust the frequencies check that. Do you have the manual that explains the radio? That may help. I do not however have one. You might be able to get a manual through Volvo of North America. Contact a dealer to see if they offer a manual.
