QuestionIs there a way to reset the service light? just had the 150k done and week later the light came on..
And then !, the key seems to be getting stuck in the ignition and the wheel will not lock and the ding comes on like the keys are left in the ignition. Can I fixs this at home and how?
Also the glove compartment is stuck. I am planning on sawing open the latch but what is the name of the replacement latch I need to order? Thank you thank you thank you
AnswerDee,
You need a scanner or reset tool to turn off the service light. I would say that the ignition lock cylinder is worn out and needs replacing. Take it to a shop to have it double checked. You can buy just the cylinder (tumbler) and replace it. Take all the covering off the lock area and turn the key to the accesory position and on the outer lock where the tumbler fits there is a small hole to push a pin into. After pushing the pin in pull on the key and pull out the lock.
