Volvo: Faulty Windshield Wipers, windshield wipers, volvo 850

I have a 1997 Volvo 850 and just recently the windshield wipers have decided to stop working. I can move them manually and can even hear the motor running when I turn them on, but the wipers don't move. The fuse connected to the wipers is good, any suggestions? Thanks!!!

The attachment nuts that hold the wiper arms to the motor pivots have come loose. With the wipers off, position the arms in the down or off position and tighten the nuts that secure the arm to the wiper pivot. Carefully turn them on and see how they now work.
