Volvo: 1990 240 wagon, flathead screwdriver, plastic lip
QuestionCan you tell me specifically how to take down the headliner in the rear of the wagon, without bending/breaking it, so I can get to the tailgate wiring harness?
AnswerThe headliner is actually a fairly flexible material, which is anchored around the edge by a stiff plastic lip that folds up into a ridge running the length of the perimeter of the ceiling. Tugging gently downward around the edge of the liner, you'll notice it starting to pull out. You might need a flathead screwdriver to wedge in the groove and coax it to come out, but be gentle so not as to tear the liner. Follow it around until you have removed the portion of ceiling you want (it should just hang down loosely). Good luck!
