Volvo: 87 240 dl radio/lighter fuse keeps blowing, fuse, good luck

i have a 87 240dl wagon and the fuse for the radio and cig lighter keeps blowing any suggestions as to cause

Sounds like you have a partial short somewhere.  I would check the contacts on the back of the cig lighter, to see if they are touching any bare wires.  It could also be a bare contact behind the radio, or one of the speakers that could be causing a short.  Also, make sure there aren't any other devices on the circuit that could cause this problem, trace all the wires from the fuse to their source to be sure.  Good luck!
