Volvo: 99 s80, pad replacement, brake pad

We just purchased a 99 S80 2.9 - as is.  The alarm goes off - lights & sound.  The dealer said there was a problem with door lock - fixed...still have the alarm problem!!  An error message also comes up every now & then - DSTC.  We just replaced the front brakes - but are still getting the error message.

Hello Rosa! There are many reasons that cause an alarm fault. A lock is one of them. It is best to have the dealer check it again. The DSTC would have nothing to do with the brake pad replacement. Have the dealer check that as well. You may want to try another dealer.
