Volvo: front seat headrest, seat frame, head rest

Question
Is there a simple way to remove the frontseat headrest? Or can you remove them at all. I am wanting to put seat covers on but I do not want to cover the head rest.

I've tried the same thing in the past, and I think the only way to remove the headrests is to peel back the cloth of the seat itself, otherwise I think they are pretty much part of the seat frame.  I think most seat covers have a velcro  opening in the top to allow headrests to pass through as you put them on.  I would keep an eye out for one of those rather than risk ruining your seat.  Good luck!
