Volvo: volvo 940gl, car fax report, chasis number

Is it possible to know the details of a volvo car from date of manufacture from the first user?

I have one chasis number is YV1JS8831N3061255.

That appears to be the VIN number for the car.  If it is, you can get a "Car Fax" report from www.carfax.com.  They'll charge you a fee, but you'll be able to see the entire history of the car, where it was taken for service, possible crash history, etc.
