Volvo: volvo coolant, water tap, great shape

I just bought a used 1996 850T5 wagon. The manual says I need to use original volvo coolant (50:50). Its quite difficult to find this volvo coolant in my  area. Can I use any other type of coolant?

Absolutely you can use any coolant you want in the car.  If you want to be as safe as possible, use a bigger name brand, like Peak, and use a 50/50 mixture with DISTILLED WATER.  Tap water has minerals that build up inside your engine block, so buy a few gallons of distilled to avoid the junk.  Remember to flush the system every 30K miles or so, and you'll be in great shape.
