Volvo: Program Remote, volvo s90, volvo

I purchased a used remote for my 1998 Volvo S90, it looks identical to my existing ones.  How do I program it to work on my current vehicle?

Hello Chris! You should be able to program the remote by tuning the key in the ignition of and on 5 times. On the 5 time leave the key in the #2 position and press the lock and unlock button on the remote. Make sure all the doors, trunk and hood are closed before you start.
