Transportation and Vehicle Safety: device for cars, windshield washer tank, bells and whistles

please can you tell me how many cars have a warning indicator when the car screen wash has run out in the usa.
I am currently researching the question in the uk and would appreciate your input.

This is really a technology driven question regarding what bells and whistles are incorporated into new vehicles. Other than being generally aware of things like this, I wouldn't be very helpful in this area as an expert.

Loosely, I am aware that Ford, Jeep, Saab, Honda and others has been using this technology via a probe in the windshield washer tank or attached to the pump assembly, and I seem to recall this system being a bit finicky in giving false readings from comments made by others.
