1999gmc suburban 1500 4x4 5.7
question fuel gauge spins around and around till cranked then stops hung up on oil pressure gauge is this repairable or do I need new cluster all together and is his something I can do I have experience repairing engines such as parts and removal just not much on cluster repair

This is a new one on me.  I would purchase a repair manual and check out the gauge section.  You may be able to change out the individual gauge, and it will tell you how to test the sending unit.
It is possible that there is a short in the sending unit itself.
