how can i put my hyundia sante fe back into regular drive  when it   goes in drive 1?

I am not sure which transmission you have, as different years had different transmission options.  The early models had a 5 speed stick shift, or a 4 speed automatic.  The later models have a 6 speed shiftronic transmission.

Without knowing the year and version I wouldn't be able to advise you on this problem.

I would suggest that you contact your local dealer and question them on the specifics of your model, and ask them if there are any bulletins or recalls out on it.

It appears that there have been multiple transmission problems on some of these vehicles.
