Looking for an illustrated diagram of components under the steering wheel in the tilt steering

I know this says trans am but they are all the same steering wheel tilt mechanisms, I also am assuming that you are referring to the loose tilt wich is notorious on GM trucks and cars alike. You will need a steering wheel puller and the GM spring compressor tool to compress the lock plate spring under the wheel itself. Once inside there should be 3 bolts that ar holding the tilt in place. Re-tighten theses and then reassymble the column. Here is the link to the exploded diagram...it is about halfway down the page
