4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: 1980 F250, straight position, 4x4 truck
QuestionI just purchased my first 4x4 truck and wondering if I have a problem with my front end. The front tires slant out when not in a straight position. Is this normal? ex. Wheels straight they are in line, sit at a slight turn they appear like in at top of wheel and out at bottom of wheel. Like I said my first 4x4.
AnswerAlex,
This is common with the Ford front suspension, as it is not a solid front axle. If you are concerned that there is too much angle, then I would take the truck to a reputable front end shop, and have the front end aligned, and checked for worn components.
