Jeep: Oil pan removal, jeep cherokee sport, jeep cherokee

I have a 96 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Is it possible to remove the oil pan without raising the ending or lowering the front end? I want to inspect the oil screen and wonder what is involved in removing the pan.

If this is a 4.0li you may have to loosen one of the motor mounts, or the transmission mount and jack the engine up just a little.  You will just have to fight the oil pan out, it will come after a few choice words, ha!  I would first try getting it out without taking the mounts loose but if you need to its no bid deal!  Hope you found this helpful!
