Suzuki: 1998 suzuki transmission 5 spd standard, clutch pedal, differance
QuestionI have a noise like clicking noise when engine starts i can puch clutch in and it stops sounds like thro out bering but we replaced it and made no differance.. when i drive it the clicking is still there also if i am coasting in nuteral it is still there this is 4x4 lock outs also can you maybe know for me....
AnswerIf it occurs when the engine is running, the clutch pedal is out, and the vehicle is sitting still, and goes away when the clutch pedal is depressed, it can only be in the clutch (it could be a broken or loose part in the disc or pressure plate) or transmission. If you're coasting in neutral, but the engine is running, that's similar to having it sitting still. Does it still happen coasting in neutral with the engine shut off?
I suspect it's inside the trans.
The trans is light and relatively easy to remove, and is one of the easiest to disassemble and rebuild.
