Suzuki: 99 Suzuki Jimmy front engine noises, suzuki jimmy, timing belts
QuestionJust changed Cam and crank seal. Used original Timing belt as looked recently replaced. Engine ran ok but developed a dry rotary noise in timing area. Cannot pin point without pulling down again. Have you heard of a problem in this area. Should I of replaced belt.
AnswerIt's possible the timing belt is rotating the opposite direction, or just a little tighter than it had been. It's not an unusual kind of thing. Sometimes even a new belt on used pulleys will be noisy for a while, and it's more a characteristic of square toothed timing belts than anything else.
