Suzuki: Engine dies when clutch is pressed down!, suzuki samurai, premature failure

Hello!
I have a suzuki samurai jeep, that dies everytime I push down the clutch. And if I press down the throttle the engine returns to its original condition!

Answer
In gear, or in neutral?  If it's in gear, I suspect a clutch part issue such as a pilot bearing, which is infamous for premature failure.  If in neutral, I'm at a complete loss, and would have to spend no small amount of time with my hands on the vehicle
