Tips on Buying Cars: buying used volvos, transmission troubles, how to buy a used car

I am looking to buy a used car, preferably a volvo.  I've heard that they weren't so good for a while - more engine and transmission troubles.  Are there any years to avoid when searching for a used Volvo then?

Your best way to approch... first find a Volvo you like and before purchase do a google on the year and model, type in keywords like...recalls - engine problems - you will get many sites....
