Tips on Buying Cars: 2000 Mitz Diamante or 1993 ES 300 Lexus, driving cars, fuel inj

Which is the bettter car for a guy who drives cars till they fall apart.

2000 Diamante
currently own it. Private party Kelley value of$7800, good condition

70,000 miles

have had fuel inj problems

1993 ES Lexus

owned by my parents and is in peach cond.
Kelley value is $6400

45,000 miles

Bottom line is that I want to make this move and people think I'm nuts.  What do you think?

I would also say your a bit of a nut to make a move like that, except for the fact your buying the Lexus from your parents with low miles and know its history, and i bet you love the luxury and comfort ride as being the main reason...

I really dont want to be the one to sway you in one direction or the other, but will give you some of my thoughts...

The Lexus will cost more to service and maintain...as for you driving cars till they fall apart,the 2000 Diamante will outlast the 1993 Lexus by a mile at this stage the 7 yrs being the diff

did you know MITS is the oldest mfg in Japan making cars...their product is on the same level as Honda except for price and the label...
