i was wondering any cons on using mud terrain tyres on city roads?

Yes.

Mud Terrain tires tend to be noisy, not wear very well, and might be harsh riding.  There may also be traction issues - although dry traction is hardly ever a problem with any type of tire.  However, wet traction is sometimes an issue.
