Tires: low pro file tire, low profile tires, profile tire

I put a plug in my daghters tire (Sunny SN3800 225/35ZR20 90W XL).the plug is in the center of the tire tread. Is it safe to plug a low profile tire.their was a steel cord where I put the plug.

I am of the opinion that the only safe tire repair is a plug/patch combination.  Plugs tend to leak - not necessarily now, but sometimes later.

But low profile tires are not anything different than high profile tires when it comes to repairs.
