Tires: front passenger, passenger tire, tire place
QuestionI'm not sure this is within your area of expertise, but you be the judge of that. I was going around a round-about this morning and my car hit a patch of ice. As a result my car slid and as I was only going 15-20 mph, I slid into the curb and my front passenger tire bumped the snow/curb. I didn't hit it too hard, but bumped it enough so that my steering wheel is a bit off and I feel like I need an alignment. Also, my ESC OFF light is on. Based on that, can you guess what may be wrong? Would I be best suited to go to a tire place, or a mechanic?
AnswerPaul,
You need to have someone look at the suspension, because it's obvious something is bent.
No, a tire store would not be the place to go. Go to a dealer or a repair shop.
BUT
You will need to replace the tire - and perhaps the rim. If there was enough force to bend a suspension component, then the tire (and rim) transmitted 100% of that force and the tire is damaged as well.
