Tires: Bias Ply Tires, 15 inch rims, cadillac eldorado

I have a 1950 Cadillac Fleetwood & a set of tires for a 1960 Cadillac Eldorado.  I just noticed a gouge in the Fleetwood tire and have to drive my younger brother to the prom on Friday.  Are the tires interchangeable?  I believe they are both 15 inch rims.

According to Tire Guides, a 1950 Cadillac came in 5 different configurations:  8-60, 8-61, and 8-62 came with 8.00-15's on 6" rims, and 8-75's came with 8.20-15's on 6" rims, while 8-86 Commercial came with 8.90-15's on 6" rims.

Tire Guides also says that a 1960 Cadillac Eldorado came with 8.20-15's on 6" rims.

I am not knowledgeable about what the model numbers mean, but it appears that if you have 8.20-15's from the Eldorado, they would work on all 1950 Caddy's except the 8-86 Commercial.
