Tires: 2004 BMW X5 tires, 2004 bmw x5, michelin energy

Our 2004 BMW X5 needs replacement tires.  The BMW dealer quoted Michelin Energy MXV4Plus tires at nearly $1500 plus alignment.  We do not know if this is the right replacement tire as it seems this dealer only uses Michelin.  Your thoughts, please.  Thank you.

 I have mentioned before on this site that I am not a fan of Michelin and it's products for many reasons.

 Before purchasing the Michelins I strongly suggest that you look into the Toyo line of products.  I have NEVER had a dissatisfied customer with any aspect of the Toyo products.
