Tires: Tire Size, routan, winter tires

I recently purchased a 2009 VW Routan and discovered that it has a odd tire size (225 65/R16).  Unfortunately there are not many tire manufactures that make winter tires in this size.  What alternate tire sizes would be suitable?  Would a 225 60/R16 or 215 70/R16 be appropriate?

 A P235/60R16 will be approximately the same overall diameter with a wider tread width.

 If the vehicle is AWD then you should consult with VW about changing tire sizes.

 I suspect that the best you will do is to find a tire in your size in an All-Season or that carries an M/S rating.
