Tires: Tire size, tire size, firewood

I bought a 2001 4-cyl. Tacoma 4WD extra cab this past spring.  It's the TRD model, and the tires are 265/75/16.  I want to put a narrower tire on when I replace them.  (I don't carry anything heavier than the occasional bedful of firewood.)  What tire sizes can I use?

 That's gonna be a hard one to do without decreasing the overall diameter or increasing the load rating and cost.  An idea for you would be to look into different brands in the P265/75R16 as they differ in tread widths but maintain very similar OD's
