For 2005 Hyundai Sonata, can I switch from a 205/60/16 tire to studded snows that are 205/55/16?

I’m sorry, but in order to answer your question, I need to know how big the fenderwells are on your vehicle.  The folks that measure that sort of thing think the information gives them a competitive advantage, so they don’t share.

I suggest you contact Discount Tire or Tire Rack.  They both do those sorts of measurements.
