How far is it safe to drive on a small spare tire?  Vehicle is Toyota Matrix.

If the spare is a minispare - 50 miles at 50 mph max.

If it is a fullsize spare - one that is the same as the tires on the ground, then it's just like the tire on the ground - untill they wear out.

But this infomation should be printed either on the tire - or the wheel - or in the owners manual.  That would be the authoritative source of information for you particular vehicle.
