Tires: tire load capacities, vehicle designers, inflation pressure

is there some place I can find a chart that would show me the load capacities for different size truck tires, both for front and rear?

I'm sorry, but these charts are hard to find - and are designed more for vehicle designers than for the average consumer.

But if you need the information about a particular tire, you can call the tire manufacturer or look them up on a web site such as Tire Rack.

But you should be aware that load carrying capacities are a function of tire size and not whether they are on the front or the rear.  However, the load carrying capacity is a function of inflation pressure - and if the pressures are supposed to be different front to rear, then the load carrying capacity would be different as well.
