Tires: noisy turns, cv joints, performance tires

I have  major brand winter performance tires on a PT Cruiser. I'm getting real excessive noise when negotiating curves.Mostly to the right. Can you tell me is it due to tires or alignment?

Trying to diagnose a noise over the internet is difficult.  Hearing the noise helps determibne what it is and where it is coming from.  So take the vehicle to someone who can listen to it.

But this sounds more like CV joints - not tires.  Though checking the alignment is not a bad idea
