Tires: Tire size, 2001 mercedes clk 320, european cars

I just bought a 2001 Mercedes CLK 320 convert. The oringinal tire size is 203x55xhr16. What are the plus's and minuses of going to 215x55x16s?

There is more dfference between tires than there is between tires of the same type and a single increment of size change.

But you have a real problem with space in the fenderwells.  European cars are particularly tight in this area and I would not recomend changing tire size.
